Bouquets to Art 2009 at the De Young Museum

It was time for the art + flowers show at the DeYoung last week. This is one of my favorites - these tulips were three inches tall. Beautiful pairing with the painting behind. I'll post some others that I liked.

Always an Accessory - Happy Birthday Barbie!

Ken, Always an Option

Barbie is 50 today. She made her entrance into the world at the Annual Toy Fair on March 9, 1959.

A vacant stare...
Feet too wide for the stilettos.
Barbie is 50 today
Time takes it's toll on the doll.

Painting on Photos

Sometimes, I have photos I've printed on really nice (expensive) watercolor paper but the photos don't turn out right for some reason. So, I cut them up and paint on them with watercolors, or doodle with colored pencils. Then, I rearranged the smaller rectangular pieces on a sheet of tissue paper as a background for a photo. Blue, Green/Red, Orange. Enjoy!

That's a bigger job to do with this clock at the Cafe Horologie in the Musee d'Orsay in, yes, Paris!
