Here's today's photojojo - #112. My pal's lettuce pairs up with a photoshopped photo of a lupine-type flower on the walk from the bus this morning.
I've been swamped at work so it has been hard to find time to take the photos and then do the photojojos. But this is why it is so good to have a partner, because they do find the time, and send you their photos and then you are reminded, inspired, pressured, compelled to hold up your end of the bargain.
Here are two photojojos (4 photos) for the price of one today.
My photo partner's luscious strawberries in fondue, with my sidewalk markings (#110):
and my partner's barren trees awaiting the spring blossoms, together with my unretouched photo of clouds in this morning's early sky (#111).
Today's photojojo is some yard ornamentation from my jojo pal, and a night shot at the crab feed.
I took a photo of the books at my job and it's paired up with my pal's photo of an 8 foot tall flamingo.
The green leaves form a nice hairdo for the smiling guy who greeted my friend this morning.
I have a new photojojo challenge starting today with a new photo pal. I'm going to keep numbering these sequentially because that will allow me to track my photo skillage progress.
Mine is of steam coming off the top of a building my friend works in, and my photo pal's animal toys.
Today, here's a photo I took by a big pile of rust in St. Paul last summer, paired up with a doodle drawing I did a few years before that. They aren't inspired by the other - just connected through me and the art I love to do.
Photojojo #101
I don't have a photojojo partner right now, since Nancy and I completed at Photojojo #100 over the weekend. So, I decided to keep this going by Photojojo'ing with myself.
Here's how it works. I'll take two photos of my own and combine them together. Rather than the randomness that is so special in working with a Photojojo partner, I'll actually pick two photos I'd like to see paired, either because of subject matter, color, composition, or some other reason I think they "go with." Here's Photojojo #101, a portion of a building in SoMA SF, and a tree against the rainy sky I took today at work.
Let me know what you think!
We are finished! Nancy and I have done 100 combined photojojos - so today's - #100 (which is also on what would have been my 29th wedding anniversary) is an auspicious finish.
This is Nancy's clouds and my view of also some clouds (after a week of non-stop rain) on the 101 in San Mateo late this afternoon.
Enjoy!
Here's Photojojo #99. Both shots apparently taken in restaurants. Nancy's condiment tray and my shot of a plant taken in a very dark restaurant last night with my iPhone camera. I like the grainy-ness of the shot which is what happens to these images taken in low light. There's lots of noise the background that starts to appear when you increase the exposure.
Tomorrow is the last Photojojo for Nancy and me. :(
I was at the Ritz tonight to listen to jazz. My photo is of the candle on the table, reflected in the glass tabletop. Nancy's sidewalk art goes nicely with this.
I love lemons. I remember one of the first dates with my husband he brought me a homemade lemon meringue pie, my favorite. These meyer lemons remind me of juicy wonderful pies. They were brought in from a co-workers tree. I put them in my cereal bowl at work and used the cubicle desktop as a neutral background to snap a shot with my iPhone camera. The lemons are paired up with Nancy's rock in the grass.
Nancy found some unsavory detritus on the ground at the park; my photo is of overhead lighting while I was waiting for an important lunchtime meeting today. Ugly and mundane - such is life.
Today is the 95th Photojojo. We have only five more left to get us to 100. It's been a fun and rewarding process for me to take and promote one photo per day with Nancy. The similarities and synergies have been surprising. The combinations have been scintillating. The fun we've had doing this together has been wonderful.
My rose, Nancy's reflectors.

Here's today's photojojo. Nancy's signs are paired with a shot taken on the freeway (while stopped in traffic). Five is my favorite number.
