Hello - It's time begin a new Introduction to Printmaking class!  If you are interested, please let me know and I will forward you more information.

The final schedule will depend on the calendars of the 4 students and myself.  The class will run for six 3-hour sessions, through September and October, to be chosen from the following Saturdays and Sundays:

9/17, (9/18,) 9/24, (9/25,) 10/1, 10/8, (10/9,) 10/15, (10/16,) 10/22

Generally, we meet from 1:00 - 4:00 but mornings are also an option.  It also works very well have the first 2 classes on the first day.
Dates and times are flexible depending on the needs of the group. 
Maximum 4 students.
Cost is $200 for 6 sessions, plus $25 materials cost.

   Japanese Samurai warriors used Kumihimo braids to lace their armor together; we use it to embellish our necks and wrists, but the possibilities are endless.  In this class, you will learn the step-by-step basic braiding technique and how to add beads for a unique, colorful bracelet.   Materials fee:  $20.  You will leave with a Kumihimo disk, bobbins, a finished or mostly finished beaded bracelet with findings, and the ability to make necklaces, bracelets, and more.

Take your collages to the Third Dimension.  Trying to get collagists to go bigger, even if only to 2-1/2 D.   Offered through the City of Palo Alto.
 
Marianne and Julia are teaching again in February (4/5), a two-day class, called "Stitch It, Wrap It, Bind It"  to encourage people to use more thread, wire, rope etc in their mixed media pieces for both its formal and binding properties.  Registration for that class will probably not be until January.  Just an FYI!

Have you heard about ZENTANGLES, the newest art craze?  Check out http://www.zentangle.com  to learn from the source.  They are small drawings that some even use as a meditation, others as an outlet for their creativity.  Grace Mendez CZTof Alameda, a certified Zentangle Teacher will lead a two hour workshop at my home in El Granada on Saturday, Sept 17 from 1-3pm.  The cost is $35 and includes a mini-kit with all the materials needed to create two Zentangle tiles.
